When I was a teenager, my family didn’t have a lot of money. This meant that I could not go out and buy a new album or cassette when I heard a song that I liked. Instead, I had to record the songs that I liked from the radio. This did work well, but there were many times when the DJ would talk over the beginning of the song, and that meant I would have to put up with an imperfect copy of a song.
