The entertainment industry is a huge behemoth and has a strangle hold on us as far as what we want to see on TV, at the movies and the music we want to hear. You turn on the radio, and station after station is broadcasting the same tunes.

So many really good songs and musicians get lost in the quagmire because of the bureaucracy involved in manipulating us so they (the record labels) can make a killing. They're making billions on us from the music and the stations and vendors too from the constant bombardment of ads and commercials.

I was always in the band from grammar school to Chicago State as a music major. So, in a way I understand about the huge number of fabulous musicians out there that would blow away so many of the really boring Rap artists, if you call it art. Just sounds like a whole lot of bull to me.

I play classical flute and sax. To me that's real talent, to pick up an instrument and play it well enough to be considered an entertainer.

Well, enough of my rambling, I just wanted you to know there is an outlet where you can get free music downloads of really good musicians in a number of genres. These are not your mainstream promoted artists, but they are every bit as good and better in a lot of cases.
